Writing...

0 min read
Sometimes writing is a very difficult process for me. As strange as this might sound but I have never been one of those who could simply bring down their thoughts on paper. There is no "simply" in my writing. Writing is not simple. It does not "simply" happen, because writing is like composing. It needs time and precision, rhythm and melody and above all things it needs breath. A long breath, a deep breath, like a sigh from the depth of the soul packed in the best black on white you can manage to picture the grey. Writing is an expression - and of course it can be rash, but that does not make it simple. Or do you think to capture a feeling

Okay everybody, here is a little lesson I learned from my latest book: Characters you love are like family. They share their story, their views, their feelings and - if it is a really good story - even a part of their souls with you. Therefore it is very nice to return to them on other occasions, like fan fiction. People love fan fiction. It can be written in the worst style and most terrible wording; and still get acknowledgment an original writer may only dream of. I admit even I am not immune. It is just too tempting to revisit a beloved character and spend some more time with him or her. However at the end of the day it leaves a bitter

Hello everyone, It might seem unbelievable but if I can trust my calendar sheet one month of 2014 is already dead and gone. Time for the earliest resume of this year: January was many things, but one and that is quiet. I was really involved with my studies (and I am still somehow), was busy working in the anatomic institute and spend half my days in biochemical laboratories, yet somehow I was also more creative than in a long time. But that is not the point of this resume. The real point would be that this January more people commented and favoured my works than in any other time I can remember. I even got my first, really constructive, rea

Thanks for the fav! :)
You are welcome! Your whole gallery is really amazing! But I especially love your Avatar-landscapes and among those "Dragon of the West" is my favourite. The colours are just stunning. Besides I always had soft spot for Iroh :)
Will you ever make some of your pictures available for download or as prints?
I also love Iroh, and thank you for your kind words! It's a really fun project to work on.

I have an INPRNT store but it only has three prints right now- I keep meaning to add "Dragon of the West" and the "Waterbending"-inspired one, which I might do today.  www.inprnt.com/gallery/cassend… is that link.  I remember using DA prints a while ago but the return for artists wasn't impressive.  I might have to take another look at that too.

Thanks again! I love meeting other fans.  :)
how do you want to see Black Widow being her awesome self? :3
Difficult question!!! I love her most when she is cheeky and overly clever, but that is hard to put in a picture, so I'd say (if you really want to listen to me) I would like to see her in fist-to-fist combat situation, where she uses all her little gadgets like the wire or the gauntlets. She is so difficult to pin down for me, because I personally think she has quite a difficult character. Strong and independent, but also with issues and fears, which she always overcomes. I just love her and I am sure I will love what you make of her. Just let you brilliant imagination run wild (I love when you do that :))

Besides I quite like how your Steve/Bucky/"Till the end of the line"-piece turned out. The metal arm for example is brilliant, the same must be said for the colours.
It lacks a bit of depth in some parts, but then I imagine that it is wickedly difficult to colour something as complex as this and still keep up the perfect perspective (especially with a metal arm in there!).

So all in all I am very exited to see what you will do under the topic "Black Widow". Whatever and however it is going to be I am sure of its amazingness :) So just give it your best shot!
And remember:
Nat: "This is just like Budapest all over again."
Clint: "You and I remember Budapest very differently."

This quote always gives me the right feel for Natasha and Clint :) So be amazing :) I am excited to see what you will do!
I´m glad you like it! I hate that fucking metal arm, it´s gonna be the death of me. Nah, it´s not thaaaat difficult, I just fucked up from the beginning with the composition and then with the colors. Next time :D
I´m gettin´better, next in line is a Guardians of the Galaxy fanart, because that´s easier - believe it or not, there´s a tree and a racoon but it´s still easier - than Natasha. Because, as you are saying, to portrait Natasha you´d have to be really clever. I love her with the wire, I didn´t think about her gauntlets. I´ll try sketching something... I chucked the idea of her swinging at the viewer one arm on a robe and the other with a gun, explosion in the background. And a few other things... I just wanna do right by her :D
By the way, I saw an extended version of the scene where Pierce asks her if she´s ready for the world to see her and she answers "Are you?" He´s saying "If you do this none of your past is gonna remain hidden. Not Budapest, not Osaka. Not the childrens ward..." Her hands stop typing and you can literally see her hand shaking... ->docs.google.com/file/d/0B1VUPe…
Thank you for the support, as always, you inspire me to do so much!
Guardians of the Galaxy (including raccoon, tree and tattooed Drax) is easier than Natasha - that says it all. And I think its true. She has so many different facets and I am sure you'll find your perfect version of her :)
I watched the extended scene (I actually even have it in my iTunes Extras) and I feel it's one of her best. Just so much of her is in there and the little notion with the stopping hands is just brilliant. After watching the scene again, I tried to read some Avengers quotes. It has been a while since I last watched the movie and I could not exactly/accurately remember how Scarlett Johanson pronounced certain things so I tried to do my own version of her and believe me it was so difficult. I tried several versions and couldn't find a single one that pleased me. Then I tried Loki and it work instantly! And I thought: "Loki is not an easy character, but I can get to the core of his quotes easier than I can get to Nat's. She's so complex!"
But never mind my complex pseudo-actor problems. You will pin her down :)
Besides I'm also excited for the next version of Cap and Bucky in action. If you say it will be even better, I'm sure it will be.

So don't let me wait too long :)
